Welcome to the Land of Sungaia

[EDITED ON 22/02/2025]

If you’re reading this in the spring of 2025, then you probably found this website through the trailer of the Blue Moon Cliffs Demo of Level 94’s upcoming game, Sungaia Saga!

I would like to thank you for engaging with the trailer and coming here – every bit of support helps, and I want to know what you think of the demo and the game’s premise overall.

I’ve put some extra details about the game on this website, and I’ll occasionally be making new blog posts to reveal some more info while making sure not to spoil too much before release.

So, the first bit of info for you: What is Blue Moon Cliffs?

Besides being the game’s first level, Blue Moon Cliffs is a mountain in the southwest area of Sungaia (a little east of the volcano – can you see it on the map?) It contains a village in which the player character Yinyang lives with his brother Arangei. Their grandpa and head of the Iruha Clan, Chief Rezru, also has his office here.

Due to there being so much ‘light ki’ focused in the atmosphere around the Cliffs, the moon appears blue when viewed from the Cliffs each night. With this powerful, ki-infused blue light engulfing the mountain over so much time, the mountain’s footpaths have been permanently dyed a beautiful blue.

Chief Rezru has assigned some of Iruha’s strongest fighters as Blade Guardians to protect certain landmarks of West Sungaia, ensuring the Laruha Clan of East Sungaia don’t attack. However, Blue Moon Cliffs has lacked a Blade Guardian, and although Chief Rezru is still strong enough to protect it, he is now becoming old…

Yinyang is set to become the Blade Guardian of Blue Moon Cliffs, with his brother training to take over as Chief of Iruha. However, right before Yinyang gets his Guardian Blade (the Beat Blade), the Laruha Clan attacks his village and holds his family to ransom.

What will Yinyang do now? That’s up to you to decide as you play Sungaia Saga! In the final release, the decision you make at this point will shape the rest of the entire game.

I hope you’re liking the sound of this game’s premise so far. On March 11th, the demo will release on Steam and Itch.io, meaning you can play it and let me know what you think! Remember to follow Level_94_Games on social media if you want to be informed of future updates.

Thanks for your support!
