THE BEAT BLADE
Harness the sonic powers of the Beat Blade! Parry enemy attacks then mimic them by catching the rhythms of their sonic vibrations.
Use the stolen moves to fight back or discover hidden secrets in the environment. These moves drain your body’s ki, so keep rebuilding your ki by collecting beats:
CLANS OF SUNGAIA
THE IRUHA CLAN
The Iruha Clan runs the western half of Sungaia. They are led by the elderly Chief Rezru, with their key territories protected by the Blade Guardians.
Iruha Clan beliefs:
. Sungaian traditions and religion must be upheld
. Only men may join the ranks of Iruhan armies
. A true warrior fights using martial arts, traditional weaponry and his own natural ki
. Fear not the man who tries to wield every element of ki in battle… Fear the man who has mastered one element, be that earth, wind, light or another
THE LARUHA CLAN
The Laruha Clan occupies East Sungaia, governed by Premier Elemi who defends the land alongside her clan’s best fighters.
Laruha Clan beliefs:
. Sungaian society should not be trapped by old-fashioned thinking and inequality
. With new technology, intellect and enough desire, anyone can become a warrior
. The key to success in battle is using the correct tools and ki types for the given scenario
MEET THE WARRIORS
YINYANG
Youngest grandson of the Iruha Clan’s Chief Rezru. A fast learner who has trained for many years in sword combat under his older brother Arangei and grandpa Rezru.
Blue Moon Cliffs’ new Blade Guardian. His new Guardian Blade, the Beat Blade, grants him sound ki abilities, one of which helps him mimic even non-sound-based ki techniques from other fighters. This suits him well as a fast learner.
ARANGEI
Older brother of Yinyang and Chief Rezru’s eldest grandson. Training to take over as Chief of Iruha after Rezru retires or passes. Considered the second strongest fighter of the Iruha Clan. He excels in sword combat and light ki, especially under moonlight.
Determined, hard-working and serious. He always strives to protect his family, Iruhan citizens and the ways of the clan.
CHIEF REZRU
Head of the Iruha Clan, loving grandpa and Iruha’s most powerful warrior. Master of double swords and light ki techniques that draw from the solar strength of the scorching sun. Loves peanuts.
Jolly with a fun sense of humour, but can be serious and scary when the situation calls for it. Currently in Iruha Hospital after surviving a sneaky bomb attack from the Laruha Clan. Get well soon, Chief!
PREMIER ELEMI
Leader of the Laruha Clan who strives to build a progressive, futuristic and equal Sungaia. Will stop at nothing to achieve her goals – even if members of her own clan think she’s going too far.
Valuing intellect and strategy over physical strength, she uses her signature ki-infused parasol as a weapon. This lets her fly and create portals, while helping her use powerful ki attacks in combat.
OLENKU
Elemi’s bumbling minion whom she relies on for simple tasks (including being an experimental guinea pig). Although he is not so clever, his loyalty to Elemi and brute strength make him a valuable asset… sometimes.
Seems to have a kind and sensitive side. Elemi thinks he is not cut-throat enough to escape the rank of minion.
Currently the proud owner of an old, hand-me-down mech suit made years ago by the Laruha Robotics Team.
